Springhill Suites — Erie, PA

CASCO is currently working with OTO Development, LLC on 20+ hospitality projects throughout the United States.  Of specific interest is the SpringHill Suites hotel in Erie, PA which is currently under construction and is slated to open in September 2007. 

At the center of the regional retail hub between Buffalo and Pittsburgh, with entertainment, cultural and historical attractions, Erie, PA is a prime location for this 4-story, 117 guestroom SpringHill Suites hotel.  The 69,000 square foot hotel has an interior pool with a custom configuration, fitness center, great room with buffet area and a meeting/conference room.  CASCO coordinated design efforts for this facility with Henry T. Welka & Associates (civil engineer), and Gilliana Pools. 

The biggest challenge of this project was designing a non-prototype interior pool while providing proper dehumidification and designing an envelope to mitigate moisture migration from within the pool space

SpringHill Suites sets the standard for mid-priced lodging by offering spacious studio suites that are approximately 25% larger than traditional hotel guest rooms.  With separate areas for sleeping, working, relaxing, and grooming, this hotel meets the demands of both business and leisure travelers.

With an anticipated grand opening this Fall, the SpringHill Suites in Erie, PA will be a retreat for guests who place a high premium on enjoyment—enjoyment of their work and enjoyment of their surroundings.
