BED BATH & BEYOND
West Los Angeles, CA
After 3 ½ years and $37 million dollars, the Bed Bath & Beyond in West Los Angeles, California celebrated its grand opening in late 2007.
“The biggest challenge of this project was designing the largest retail space possible within the confines of the property lines and height restrictions, while maintaining all applicable zoning |

guidelines,” according to CASCO Project Manager, Jack Reynolds. “This meant fitting 287,000+ square feet of retail space and parking on a 63,500 s.f. lot.” |

|
To meet these demands, CASCO worked with Bed Bath & Beyond to design a multi-level superstore complete with five verma-ports, seven elevators, eight escalators, a subterranean receiving dock and power station, and a suspended ramp over the receiving dock. The subterranean design proved instrumental in the success of this project.
